Let me get this straight.

You guys think black people can’t have an opinion on this ESPN thing.

That would be incorrect. Please do not put words in my mouth. Unlike some people, I would never say someone can’t have an opinion due to skin color. Nor would I call an opinion lecturing due to the skin color of the opinion holder. Nor would I hold a holier than thou attitude towards someone because of their skin color/gender.

I don’t know how you can pretend you’re not policing people’s opinions. There are plenty of things you’ve gotten offended by here (whether it be about religion, America, or what have you). How would you feel if you felt uncomfortable about something and then someone told you your feelings were unreasonable?

I seem to recall a moment recently when Fanfiltration made light of your father’s death. You weren’t to happy about that were you? And he told you it was nothing to get worked up over, but it wasn’t his place to say that. They were your feelings and you had a right to your own reaction.

Please understand that black people have a right to their own feelings and a right to feel uncomfortable by things that might not make you feel anything. That’s what Frink means when he talks about white priveledge. He’s not being “bigoted” against white people, he’s just saying that maybe, just maybe, it’s possible that people of other races might be offended by things that don’t make you feel anything, and it’s not really your place to call their feelings unreasonable.
