My mistake.
Ah Ok, the wampa, I get it now: I thought you were talking about the first attack (which is still the theatrical wampa), not the wampa lair shots (I forgot how bad looking was the theatrical version). Very good indeed ! (so seamless that I didn’t notice it was fixed as a matter of fact !).
I’ve shown to some people the battle of Hoth, they were amazed by the addition.
Hi, watched Empire revisited today. Very impressed. I’m curious: How did you make the Hoth scenes so much clearer?
After digesting this for a day or so, I’ve realized that my favorite overall change is the slight color correction to the running lights on the Star Destroyers, making them stick out a bit more against the gunmetal grey. Adds a surprising amount of depth to the physical models.
Anyone else wish that the Blue helmeted pilots were replaced with red ones, like they were in A New Hope?

If the CG wasn’t going to work he was going to delete the original from the one shot you can see it in. Once it looked like it was going to work, he continued the story of removing the one, especially after the uproar he was getting. The plan was to never even hint at them until release, but after one of the delays he decided to release a teaser video including them.

My favourite thing at the moment might be the moving graphics superimposed on the glass in the Hoth command center. It still feels like the same shot but with a modern style movie touch. Great job. It’s also something that could believably have been done in 1980 via practical means.
Also, the Bacta recolour is beautifully done. So evocative of the concept art.
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

You can’t get a sense of how it moves from the screenshot but it really gives the actress the appearance of looking at something specific on the glass. It sort of has a “locking on” animation while they are targeting the Star Destroyer with the ion cannon and then turns red when they fire.

One of my favorite additions too!
Of course, I think one of the most important changes of all, aside from the color correcting, is fixing the changing thickness of the lightsabers. If little else was fixed, I’m grateful for that consistency!
