I was just thinking that. . . . No offense, Cassidy, but those aren't the best text-removal jobs. They're OK, better than some I've seen, but not great.

Well, thanks for the feedback. Yeah, like I initially said, my PS skills are inadequate for a real professional job. If there were some place to upload all of them I would be more than happy to e-mail the text versions. But I think I'm done posting images here for a while, I don't want to hijack the bandwidth.
Also, yeah, the ESB poster is about as hi-res as I've ever seen, short of getting ahold of an original (which I've seen as a postcard...hmm) and scanning it.
I'm not really sure where to look for non-text versions of the ones I butchered though...
It's not 100% accurate, but I made this from a photo of the original poster. I'm rather proud of the rich colors and the faithful 'look.' Hope you enjoy!
There have been some really good hard-to-find-in-hi-res posters so far, and everyone should keep posting! I am going to dig through my menagerie of SW poster images and see what I can provide.
TheCassidy: I would like any hi-res images you have but cannot post due to filesize limits. My address is klokwerk@gmail.com
I'm saying this because you mentioned a higher-res of the Chaykin poster. I'm doing it via a reply as you seem to have PMs turned off. Please turn them on.
I have noticed that the ot hi res posters posted previously are a bit distorted (e.g. the credits on the rotj one). Can someone provide correct hi res posters?
Someone know the name of the poster who made the ROTJ DVD cover with the altered green Luke lightsaber, I thought the quality was really good, but the image was cropped when he put it on his DVD cover.
I'd love an uncropped Hi-Res image of that...without text.
Well, I don't have a version without the text, but I'll leave that to somebody else Here's a variation on the ROTJ poster with a green lightsaber. It's a bit tricky to make it look right. If the green is too saturated, it looks out of keeping with the rest of the poster, but if it's not saturated enough, it looks different from the way it looks in the film. Also, in green, it sticks out like a sore thumb in the composition. In a color theory way, it overwhelms the rest of the poster ... But I was curious to see what it'd look like. I hope it helps.
If you buy the 2004 Deluxe Trilogy Soundracks there are some posters inside and you can see that pic of Luke in the original theatrcal poster with a perfect green lightsaber.
PS I'd love to post a pic of the picture but I can't find anything on the web.
