Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD * — Page 2

I hope Kylo dies as an evil man, but in his last moments discovers that Vader turned to the Light to save Luke. I know in TFA novelization Snoke talks about Vader turning back to the Light, but that could always be retconnd.

If so I would like him to see it as a moment of weakness and something that wouldn’t sway him from his current alignment in The Force.

I would like to see something that makes sense for his story at that point and not something that is done just to appease anti-rehash complainers and people who are mad he killed their childhood hero.

Happy ending, but then everyone dies in a post-credits scene. This way Disney cannot make more movies past IX.

They’ll move on to prequel prequels!

Or maybe Ep. X will be all Force Ghosts.

^Episode X: No one can die now, so don’t worry!

It’s become a tradition!

Indeed it has. Not that that speaks well for LFL’s management of the series so far.

Because he had one movie that some people didn’t like? Kershner made some turkeys too.

The long term damage if top tier directors pass on a SW film because they might see a few years of prep work flushed down the toilet, when they could be making something with fewer cooks breathing down their necks remains to be seen.

They were damned lucky Ron Howard was available to take over Han Solo.

I can’t find a suitable reaction picture for this.

It’d just be a real shame if the last episode of the saga didn’t turn out good.

O yeah, I guess it is just that one movie people didn’t like. I keep forgetting that a lot of people actually liked Jurassic World.

I’m just glad Trevorrow’s out. Blaster bolt dodged there imo.

I quite enjoyed *Safety Not Guaranteed but Jurassic World while a titan at the box office was a real disappointment as a film. It showed his weaknesses not only as a writer but a director as well. I was very worried for this film with him attached and the negative buzz coming off of The Book of Henry did nothing but intensify that concern.

I’m sure Mr. Trevorrow will land on his feet. But he’s put at least two years(?) of his life into this project and that has got to suck walking away from it now.

PR wise, this year has been a real Bantha Poodoo show for Lucasfilm.
