Came across the tail end of the 1953 3-D Western Stranger Wore A Gun on Turner Classic Movies this morning. Did a double take at the big chase scene as the most phony miniature boulders and trees were optically added to the foreground of some shots, presumably to enhance the dimensional effect. I can’t help but wonder if George remembered seeing this before inflicting the same sort of thing on poor Artoo!
