Split my video in half, uploaded it in two parts, and now they’re both blocked – within an hour after uploading them. Funny how poorly spliced-together clips from an episode of an unremarkable series which ended over a decade ago can warrant such immediate attention. But I suppose now I know why clips from that particular series are so hard to come by on YouTube.
YouTube sucks.
It’s bizarre what those YouTube algorithms flag as copyrighted material and what they don’t.
I used to use some background chart music on my vlogs and I got several copyright warnings but I’ve seen other channels use audio and video from TV and movies (including recorded-in-the-cinema cam footage!!) with impunity.
You didn’t have the video monetised or anything did you, Duracell? If not, I think you were just unlucky. What show was it anyway?
