Scream 2:
- "Oh please! By definition alone, sequels are inferior films!"
- "How about Empire Strikes Back. Improved graphics. Better storyline."
- "Not a sequel, part of a trilogy, completely planned."

Scream 3:
During Randy's taped message to Sydney, Dewey and Gale, he refers to the Star Wars trilogy. Carrie Fisher has a cameo in the movie as Bianca, the studio archive keeper.
