Venezuela has disproven all left-wing ideologies for the next 50 years. It will become the first country to successfully destroy its entire population. It is now a full blown communist dictatorship as of Sunday and this will fuel conservatism in the US forever. Say goodbye to public education and universal healthcare, because those are socialist policies, and “socialism has failed everywhere its been tried”. Venezuela IS a socialist nation. The chaos and brutality happening right now is the end result of every single socialist state in history. I was wrong to think otherwise, this is how all leftist governments behave, and we need to double down on neoliberal capitalism to avoid this fate in the US.
