See, I went in with no expectation of anything grand, and was pleasantly surprised. There are some movies you just have to do that with.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

The name Van Helsing is mentioned in The League of Extrodinary Gentleman. Though the movies can't be parallel because of the inconsistancy of Mr Hyde.

That, and the fact that they're from different studios.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Just saw The London Assignment. It retains the same dumb action element of the movie and was overall enjoyable. Still I didn't like how Dr. Jackall and Mr. Hyde really were only different physically which really ruins the classic character. It is a pretty bloody cartoon as well. Probably even more so then the movie. Still it also has some of the movies humor and is overall an enjoyable flick.

I did that with Shrek 2 this past weekend and loved it. I really thought it would suck and I have to say that I think I like it better than the original. Banderas was a great addition.

Banderas does make the movie fun, doesn't he? We're playing it on 5 screens right now and sold out most of our shows this weekend.

He was spectacular in it. I loved Livin' la Vida Loca at the end.

I saw Shrek 2. It was good but I liked Shrek 1 more.

I remember that I loved Shrek 1 when it first came out. Maybe the same or more as I love Shrek 2. But I got so burned out on all the subsequent Shrek this and that which were all over the place that I just couldn't stand the thought of the big green bastard anymore. Now, I've had enough time removed that I like it all again. We'll see how I feel in another month or two.

I liked Van Helsing, but I was also dissapointed in the lack of fight scenes in the movie. I thought Van Helsing fought with a sword, and I thought he was going to fight all of the monsters; frankenstein's monster, the wolfman, and dracula. Although there's a few altercations between Van Helsing and the other monsters, they're by no means a fight scene.

Come on the movie was nothing but fight sequences and action. Maybe they left a couple monsters open for the sequal. Maybe in the sequal he can fight the creature from the black lagoon or something.

Apparently Universal wants to turn it into a TV series. I really hope not, but that's what my sources are telling me.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Maybe an animated one but only if they keep the dark feel and violence of the London Assignment. Don't make it into a kids cartoon. Also no live action show. The big budget action can never be reproduced on television and a live action series would be cheap. Look at he Animorphs TV series for an example.
