Now if you would kindly shut up, that would be appreciated.
I thought you came here to hear what other people are saying.
I can’t quite figure it out either. I thought he doesn’t like that people complain about Star Trek because it somehow prevents him from talking about the things he likes about Star Trek, but…

Let me put it simply for you: I’m not fond of jerks and trolls.

People have been really short-tempered on this forum lately.

Play nice, Trekkers.
Where were you in '77?

No, but seriously, instead of devolving into a bunch of mean-spirited comments, could you try to explain your position a bit better? Clearly, we don’t quite get what you’re meaning to say.

I’ll ignore your second statement and respond to the first.
How is it that people who don’t like certain aspects of Star Trek (or Trek at all, for that matter) are jerks and trolls?

I blame Doctor Who.
I don’t know why the showrunner would say “the Klingons are not consistent.” It’s TOS (the show) that differs from the rest. From Star Trek III onward, the Klingons are fairly consistent in appearance; and inconsistencies are addressed in the Affliction/Divergence arc of Enterprise.
About the biggest unexplained inconsistency with them is the change in Worf’s cranial ridges.

Again I am tempted to post the middle finger pic.

Especially since the last complaints in this thread were about Ezri Dax and Vic Fontaine. For non-Trekkers, those are characters only appearing in season 7 (and at the very end of season 6 in the case of Vic) of Deep Space Nine.

Why didn’t we get an answer to this question?
Is it because there is no rational answer?
I don’t think that person was calling “people who don’t like certain aspects of Star Trek” jerks and trolsl, just calling you a jerk and a troll.

If that’s the case he shouldn’t have quoted the post he quoted before saying it.

Don’t make me post a Ric pic! I’ll totally do it!!!
What’s the general consensus on Gul Dukat? I personally thought he was a strong, even occasionally empathetic, villain, but then once he started on all the devil worship stuff he just got silly. When they made him a weird serial-womanizing cult leader it just got impossible for me to appreciate the complexity of his character that had been established before.

Yeah, things sadly got pretty goofy towards the end with him. I liked him better with shades of gray. Would have been more poetic if Kira had been able to kill him though.

I loved him before he turned Bajoran in the final episodes of season 7

It’s because I’m not interested in discussing it further. I already made my point as clear as I can make it. I’d rather change the subject at this point.

I like Dukat. I did like him better before he converted to following the Pah-Wraith. After that, he was more like-to-hate.
I like the writing for almost the whole show, but I can’t watch the episode where Nog moved into the holodeck after losing his leg. It’s too intense.

I agree, but I think the last time he was a great villain was in “Waltz” when he’s losing his mind. Personally I think that would’ve been the best way to end his character. His weird cult-leadership in that early Season 7 episode was too weird for me too. He never struck me as that type. The Bajoran stuff with him was just a distraction from the Breen/Dominion plot and the Cardassian rebellion, which I think are great and intense.

It’s Only a Paper Moon? I love that one.
