Now correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ian McD originally play the emperor in "Return of the Jedi"? I know it was a different person in "The Empire Strikes Back" (I believe it was an old woman, with Clive Revill's voice.) I don't think that this was a change that went too far since Ian was in the original theatrical release of ROTJ. In fact, I think it was the best thing he could've done to keep the continuity intact.




Because they changed the dialogue.
