I’m a white male, I could never possibly understand these things.

Hopefully someday you and the rest will (and you most certainly can), and the world will be a better place.

If you absorb yourself in people with these viewpoints, you will eventually change your mind. I knew I was much more closer to Warbler’s position at one point, then, progressively, I became more progressive.

You can say that about anything. If you surround yourself with people you’re likely to pick up on and adopt their stuff.

Now, for some people, this might backfire, and you might start to hate these progressive points of view. But I’m sure Warbler can do it.

That’s what happened to me. A bunch of rich people, college kids, and people whose only job it is is to be internet bloggers talking about how bad they have it is a huge turnoff. Being judged by my race and gender is also a huge turnoff. Whenever anyone assumes anything about my life and wellbeing based on my skin or my gender, my response is, “Fuck you.” That should be everyone’s response.

I did read some of the info below the bullet points on that list and yes, I’ve seen it all before in those types of webpages. It’s just selectively citing statistics and claiming they’re privileges. That’s like saying that since a huge percentage of homeless people are mentally ill then homelessness is a privilege of the mentally ill. Or men have the privilege of successfully killing themselves. It’s nuts. It also takes a deep issue and boils it down to nothing more than a gender issue. Maybe men kill and suicide more because they tend to be more impulsive? No, it’s just patriarchy.
