I can only imagine the frustration of fans who had seen Alec Guinness and Peter Cushing in other movies before Star Wars. š
Yeah I knew thereād be older people when watching SW for the first time that would know Alec Guiness from other films (have no idea really about Peter Cushingās history) which is why I said specifically that it works best for me š Itās an individual thing I guess but I found itās one of the things that sets it apart from many other movies and really helps cement the characters into the story and universe in your mind when you initially only know those people as those characters.
For instance, Padmeās head of security thatās with her at the start of AOTC when they blow up her ship and kill her double - heās originally from a show in Australia called āWater Ratsā (itās about Water Police) which the second I see him thatās all I can think of him in (even though I never really ever watched the show) and just pulls me out of the movie universe (probably doesnāt help that his performance is pretty wooden, it is the PT after all š ).
