I liked everything about DS9. Best ST series so far.
Definitely agree with your second statement. My beef with the Klingons aside, DS9 managed to completely realize its full potential, something TOS & TNG never managed to achieve.

TNG+ Klingons are stupid, dirty, one-note barbarians who divide their time picking fights and yammering on about honour. I’m surprised these dolts know how to read and write let alone pilot interstellar ships.
