I don’t understand the problem with changing the race of a fictional character. The race was made up to begin with.
It changes the character’s appearance.
So what?
It can also affect the personality of the character.
So what?
You believe that white privilege is real. Therefore, wouldn’t having the privilege vs not having it effect a character’s personality?
So what?
If you’re remaking/rebooting/whatever a franchise, there is no reason a character can’t be different. Just because something came first doesn’t make it “right.”
