Tangled Up In Blue Live from The Rolling Thunder Revue - Bob Dylan

While I have a love and hate relationship with the singing voice of Bob Dylan over the years… I think this concert best represents Bob Dylan at his absolute vocal and songwriting peak. This was a little bit before it started going downhill for me. People were often put off by his Christian themed albums that came in the latter part of the 70s and early 80s…but it is his voice that I do not care for. The voice really changed its tonal qualities around the time Street Legal came out… becoming more nasally and grizzled. Compare the recording of Hurricane to Changing of the Guards… and it is a drastic difference. I am not saying he was a great singer at one time…I just liked his voice from the mid 60s to mid 70s. It suited his singing style.
