I was making a statement about the Randian leanings of Zack Snyder.
You already said that you don’t identify with Snyder’s Superman, and I wasn’t trying to imply that.My apologies.
This image of Superman is merely an example of the ‘few great men’ who lead humanity into new ages of capitalist prosperity despite the (according to Rand) laziness and common meanness of the vast sea of humanity.
Given all his bouts with Darkseid and other beings of his nature I would say Superman is pretty important on a Cosmic level. The people reaching for him mean nothing when when we’re talking about events of that magnitude.
