¡Hola Rik! Nice place here. I've "discovered" a lot of great stuff through this forum... and myspleen. You are providing GREAT downloads there!

I'm still working with all that bonus features. I'm finished subtitling the Forgotten Scenes DVD, I just have to make a menu for that. When I have 2 or 3 discs finished I'll send them to you to check them out!

Hello!

I'm new to the forums here, and I'm really excited about all the new projects coming up... especially those using the new X0 transfers! Yours and Zion's projects look absolutely amazing.

I can't tell you how awesome it is that you're doing all of this, and I'm really grateful.

I haven't seen the Original Version since I was in fourth grade (a long, long time ago), and it's very difficult for me to remember. This has made me doubly excited that there are actually people out there committed to producing great sets of a great film.

Keep up the laudable work, and please keep us posted with what's going on.

Yes, I'll admit it, it got me thinking about the original trilogy again (I stumbled over here while I was browsing on myspleen). I imagine I'm not the only one; the woodwork will probably spout out a good deal more.

Yes, I'm quite interested in how far along he is as well. Although, it looks like a lot has been happening recently, and it seems like most are caught in the evil clutches of Darth Real Life. Still, it couldn't hurt to tell us a few updates, MBJ.

It looks like the last thing going on for you was buying the dual layer burner in March (?). Anything new going on with that?

just checking in to see how things are going on - in my quest to figure out what i want in a trilogy set i have decided i will need 2 seperate sets to get everything i want - the more i think about it, the more i thinks MeBe's will be one of them.


from one set i am hoping for the following:

dvd5 or dvd9 - i would prefer dvd5 but it seems like the MeBe set will now be dvd9 (not sure why)
from faces LD, if the rumours are true this rip will be the best from the faces LD there is.
original theatrical crawl
lightsabre imperfections ironed out
several audio tracks (i found the list before on this thread and imagine it would be incredible) and subtitles
original aunt beru dub - "blast it wedge" dub - c3po death star explanation --- can i assume that all these appear on the mono track?
letterbox size

1) LD PCM
2) My AC3 track
3) Mono
4) Def. Col. commentary
5) Official DVD commentary
6) ISOMIX score
7) Score from this new DVD
8) Bizzle's recordings

8 audio tracks that would be absolutely kick arse and eliminate the need for certain other project sets. it would be absolutely amazing if they were all on the final version.

how much of this wishlist is likely to become fact mebejedi?


from the other set i am hoping for the following:

one set from definitive collection
anamorphic
no edits from original laserdisc
bonus disk with def. col and faces bonus material

and i believe i have just described cowclops new version that should be completed very soon!

Actually, I've not yet burned a DL disc yet, but it burns SLs just fine.

Not that this thread is intended for wish lists ( ), but it's more likely that there will be a couple of versions: straight transfers of Def. Col. and Faces (my personal preference), a "77" version (crawl, soundtrack), a "cleaned up" version (visual glitches removed), a PAL version, different languages, etc. There's a lot going on behind the scenes, so don't expect eveything at once, but at some point, we hope to eventually have something for everyone. At this point in time, it makes much more sense to have separate releases, than a "one size fits all" release.

Not that this thread is intended for wish lists ( ), but it's more likely that there will be a couple of versions: straight transfers of Def. re: bizzle, i'll be honest i have no idea, i just saw that list and copied it, i thought you posted it but i might be mistaken. the other 7 audio tracks make my mouth water.

re: several releases, i guess i'll just wait till you release one that is most similar to my wishlist - i really appreciate the effort you're putting in, i guess i'm just not the type of person that could own loads of versions, even if it is star wars. i know i am hoping for a mixture of the cleaned up and 77 versions which as many audio tracks as possible - i really like the idea of one set that holds these features.

were you still thinking of adding my re-edited radio dramas as an extra? I remember you saying you were thinking of adding still images from the comics and storyboards and such to the dramas so that they had something to look at while they were playing.

If you're still thinking of doing that, I can mail you a disc of the mp3's.

It's a definite, but future project, and Neil S. Bulk has given me all the sound files.

Sounds like you are interested in the outcome of this project. I'll let you know when I finally get around to it.

Enough talk!!!!! - I've busted out on old transfer but this thing has some GREAT quality and the PCM audio retained the CX encoded surround better then other transfers (ON my system anyway!) anyway these are the details...

MBJ, myself and a select few have been sitting on this as we all knew that there are even GREATER transfers to come from the upcoming XO Transfer - THIS is only a taste of what's to come...
