How do you expect to see and judge if you're still boycotting it?

I didn't say I expected to see and judge it. I merely said that in order to judge it, I'd have to see it. Since I am boycotting it, I won't see it and therefor I won't judge it.

I probably will watch when it comes on TV.

Dude that is sad, it's one of the best star wars films ever.

I doubt that I'd find it better than Empire and Star Wars. I suppose its possible.

It's the best Star Wars film since Empire

reasons why it's cool.

The Millienium Falcon in Coruscant.

Ian McDiarmid owns the film.

The Emperor and Yoda duel totally awesome.

Anakin's gruesome injuries.

Mace Windu's death.

Mon Calamari, Mon Montha from ROTJ.

4.6 secs of Jar Jar.

Ewan McGregor totally cool as Obi.

Tantine IV is in it.

You get to meet Captain Antillies.

As I said I'd have to see it to judge it.

Boycotts are for squares. Like pants.

How does one know the ship seen on Coruscant was the Millenium Falcon; it could have been any other YT-1300 frieghter.

Boycotts are to be used as a political act. There's really no point boycotting media products such as films. Don't take it too seriously.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. But no one in the mass audience knows there ARE other YT-1300s.

Well. They ought to. Still, just because Doe, John X. thinks it's the Falcon doesn't mean it is. I didn't even see the ship.

I've said it before I'll say it again. Lucas gets not one red cent of my money until the OOT is on DVD.

How bout a silver or platinum cent? C'mon, Warbler. You're not going to change anything. Besides, there are always the FanMade DVDs.

OK Warbler so sneak into the movie theater without paying. Or ask someone to pay the ticket for you.

I've said it and I'll say it again: boycotts are effective political weapons. Boycotting elections, performing sit-ins as they did in the US south in the 60s in order to end the apartheid system over there, or perform peaceful unobedience as Ghandi did. You can perform strikes to ask for better working condition, you can protest and boycott companies whose actions are hurting people and/or the nature...

But doing a boycott for a movie because a 60 year old movie director from hollywood, who has more than 3 billion dollars refuses to release an easily acessible DVD version of a movie you saw and enjoyed is overacting. I'm not going to force you to watch ROTS, no one will, if you don't want to see it go ahead, I just think you're taking the whole thing a bit far too seriously. These are only movies, these movies are suppose to entertain you and take only, like, 1% of your week's time...

overacting? thousands signed a peitition to have the OOT released on DVD, was that overacting? The whole point of this forum was to get Lucas to release OOT on DVD, was that overacting? When the SE OT was released on DVD many people boycotted that, was that overacting? Many people thought we should goto the stores and try and convince people not to by the SE OT, was that overacting? Yes there are fan edits, but I shouldn't have to get them in the 1st place and technically, its stealing. I don't like to do that.

What I'm saying is, it's pointless, you can't do anything by boycotting a film, so yes it is overeacting. Signing a petition is a far more viable way to get what we want, so NO, it's not overeacting. Boycotting the Lucasfilm DVDs is not overeacting because I don't consider it boycott, I consider it simply not buying a product that is presented in a format we don't want. Convincing people not to buy the SEs DVDs IS overeacting because you can't tell someone what they can or cannot buy.

There's another example of an OT refference in RotS.

Things I hate: Boycotts. They never work and just make somepeople either angry, or make people look stupid.

I'm with ya, Jedikev. I loved it. It's not without its faults, but what movie is?

This Monday morning my friend said that he saw ep3 on Sunday night. He's not a Star Wars fan he thinks that all the Star Wars films are gay. He thought it was awesome, and said that it was'nt Star Wars it was more like Halo with a John Williams score.

That's like an insult, considering that Halo's story is somewhat "Bleh" compared to Star Wars.

Not that Halo's story is bad for a Videogame, mind you, but I'm skeptical of a Halo movie. (In fact, Halo's story is GREAT... for a game.)
