Why do people always blame Disney instead of Lucasfilm? Disney is just the parent company.
Disney has final say on everything. Often, they will just let Lucasfilm do their thing. But Disney, like all studios, will butt their head into matters and mandate certain things where they think appropriate.
So yes, it’s perfectly fine to be pissed off at Disney and Lucasfilm. If Disney wanted to make the OOT possible, they could make it happen.
