Well this released on the 18th so I grabbed it. I remember seeing early footage over three years ago at a convention. I'm in the middle of it at the moment and so far, I like what I'm seeing. For a fanfilm the special effects are great for the most part. The early all-sfx stuff without live action really looks good. Only the stuff meshed with live tends to look fake. Still it's better than most. I like the original ship designs a lot. The nose art and other detailing on the ships give them a nice human touch that gives a more realistic feel to troopers stuck on a ship for long periods. I really gives it a distinctiveness. The music's pretty good so far too. I haven't really gotten into the plot yet, so I can't comment on that yet. So far, I think this is already better than that overhyped Revelations. The fleet arriving at Davenport Gateway was highly impressive.

Made for IE Forum's Episode III theme month - May 2005.
Troops is a hilarious takeoff on Cops. One of the first great fanfilms.

Basically, it's the offscreen adventures of the stormtrooper unit on Tatooine.
"Troops is filmed on location with the men of the Imperial Forces. All suspects are guilty. Period. Otherwise, they wouldn't be suspect now would they?"
I just watched and it is pretty cool, not as funny as Troops but well worth the watch. I can't wait for the next installment......as this promises to be quite a ride......thanks for the heads-up Kilngon.......
