Here's an interesting little loophole: Note that the Faces edition does NOT say that it is the final original release of the trilogy. Just the final release of "Star Wars". Which means if they released the original versions of Empire and Jedi, they wouldn't be contradicting themselves.
And "A New Hope" isn't the original version anyway, so you're covered there too.
