I wouldn’t be surprised if Jack is dead at the end (and Ashi takes his place or something), but yeah I think they’ve probably done their service to the harakiri/seppuku possibility. Which is pretty cool honestly because it’s such a big part of samurai culture but was obviously never even something that would have been so much as mentioned on the show when it was more kid-aimed.
Not to mention evil spirits trying to drive the hero into committing it.

Not sure I like the severed head assassin robot shtick. And the penis joke just seemed gratuitous. I almost did a spit take when I heard it.
I kinda like him. He’s like a classic SJ villain. The penis joke made me laugh, though probably more from the surprise of it than anything.
And just who was that mysterious creature giving directions outside the bar?
Don’t know. If it was an old character, I didn’t notice.
Another great episode. I loved the appearance from the god squad.
I also wonder if angry red ghost Jack is the same as angry blue ghost Jack? Red ghost claims to be the reason Jack’s still alive, and blue ghost claimed Jack would be better off dead, so I think they might be entirely seperate hallucinatory entities. Just a thought.

Tonight’s episode was wild. Last week I was a little wary of the relationship between Jack and Ashi (mostly because of the 60ish year age gap), but I didn’t mind it much anymore after this episode.
I don’t know if I’m ready for the finale!

Sad to see the Guardian’s prophecy discarded, retroactively giving that episode an odd message about destiny. I’m glad they at least lampshaded it.
I can’t imagine what the final episode will be, as it seems 22 minutes is a cramped amount of time to conclude everything.

Well that was a pretty great run. Wish they had a few more episodes so the finale didn’t seem so crammed, but still, a fine conclusion.
