His stale acting won him a part in Raiders of the Lost Ark. He was one of the two actors that came to Dr. Jones near the beginning of the film, after Dr. Jones gives his class to his students, he meets with them to talk about the Ark of the Covenant.
He kind of fits better in that setting though. It is more believable. (at least more so than him being a fighter pilot while he would barely be able to fit in the cockpit of the fighter he is supposed to be piloting.) And his acting isn’t as stale in Raiders of the Lost Ark because it is easier to deliver those lines.
Lastly, this is why I haven’t made this suggestion in the original thread in the first place. People are too overprotective of the original trilogy’s faults. Even I am one of those people.
