Well, I had this suggestion in my mind for years now, but for some reason I never made it.

It is about original trilogy… As we all know, it badly lacks female characters, any possible female characters with some lines were cut and some of the others were shortened and dubbed over by male actors. (female pilot in episode six for example) So why not remedy this? Add some female characters with lines to the OT and make it a bit more diverse. In the end why wasn’t female characters included in the film? They said it was because their acting wasn’t very good, but is acting of the all male actors great in the final movie? I am not actually suggesting new characters should be added out of nowhere, that would disrupt the flow of the movie, what I am suggesting is, some bad, out of place actors with lines should be replaced.

For example, A New Hope:

This is a character called (to add insult to the injury) Porkins. As far as I remember, he is never been referred by that name in the movie, but yeah… He is better known by his code name Red Six. His acting is quite stale (though thankfully he doesn’t have many lines), he is really out of place (he really looks like he doesn’t belong there, look at him, he is so overweight he can’t even connect the straps of his helmet) and overall he is just terrible. (and he is quite forgettable save the fact he is remembered as the fat pilot by many)

So how about replacing him with her:

She was a cut character from episode six, sadly she doesn’t actually have any footage available (not in color anyway) but it could be made to work. (just get a cosplayer with the correct costume to do a few shots and replace it with Red Six.)

I mean, I know it is unlikely Adywan to do something like this for ANHR-HD but in my opinion, it would work beautifully. (getting rid of a bad character while gaining much needed female character with lines? Hell yeah.)

There could be several more examples where something like this could work. I can’t think of any, but surely OT would have benefited from it.
