Those are both illegitimate. IIRC, the “Limited Edition” was never sold in a set, and not in skinny packs.

Yes they were, in 2008. I saw them in fye and Best Buy countless times before they were pulled before the BD release. There was a prequel set and an original set, the latter containing repackaged versions of the 2006 DVD sets. That aside the 2006 sets was also available in a tin case at Best Buy when they first came out (I know cause I have it).

Ah, interesting. So that outer box WAS official?

The gold colour and the artwork is right BUT this is always 2 disc per movie deal. The second “bonus” feature disc is the GOUT.

Edit: Wait you get a pic of the damn thing on the first link - look at the back of the sleeve, it says Disc 2 features bonus theatrical etc etc. It’s all totally fine, box or not that’s the info you are looking for.

You do realize bootlegs copy the official artwork, right? The second auction I linked has them in cheap looking cases (I could understand one of the cases breaking and replacing one, but ALL SIX?) with no chapter inserts. I know at least the prequels had chapter inserts originally.

The first one doesn’t show pictures of the inside, but I can send the seller a message asking if he can send me some.
