Yes, for me it is the Quinton Cinema (England) - where I saw Empire as a nipper with my uncle, and then bunked off school at the age of 10 to go watch Return Of The Jedi (a different era back then 😉).

And back again for the 3 Special Editions in 1997, then for the Prequel Trilogy (no, I didn’t get the refunds I asked for!), followed by TFA and then the midnight showing of Rogue One…

…and now as an ‘adult’ - it is only half a mile from home.

A decent piece on the cinema itself (which has changed it’s name many times down the years): www.birminghamconservationtrust.org/2013/09/13/from-danilo-to-reel-the-story-of-quintons-cinema

Plus this 2009 article: www.halesowennews.co.uk/news/4528057.70-years-for-quinton-picture-house

and a little more on the history of it: https://cinematreasures.org/theaters/6934

a few pics…

The Danilo’ as it was known back then - pic taken in 1939 (it opened on 7th August, 1939)

which then became ‘The Essoldo’ in the 1950s (the image below is from 1969)

which became ‘The Classic’ in the 1970’s…

The Cannon’ as it was known in the mid-late 1980’s…

and then became ‘The ABC’ for a short time in the mid-1990’s (maybe just a couple of years?)

which later became ‘The Odeon(image from 2002)

The Reel’ as it became know in 2006 - and is still known as today (still going strong - https://reelcinemas.co.uk/cinemas/quinton)…

£5 on Tuesday and Wednesdays, £6.90 other times - about $6.50 & $9 in US money.
