DTS Cinema quality is really good; yep, I could also agree that it could have half the quality of AC-3 at the same bitrate, but I’m not aware of any 1mbps+ AC-3 track…

it is incredibly daft to listen to the cinema track when BD AC3 is available because you’re listening to much reduced quality for no benefit.

This is not true, unless the AC-3 track is 640kbps AND it uses the same mix; in that case, quality could be comparable; if AC-3 is 448kbps, Cinema DTS is better.
