The man was in Schindler’s List and played Ghandi. I don’t think taking a paycheck for something like Bloodrayne (I’ve never seen it) can be compared to government propaganda garbage that denies genocide.
Exactly, Kingsley played Ghandi & starred in Schindler’s List. His decision to star in the Turkish movie escapes me, besides the obvious lust of money. Germany helped the Ottoman Empire, and took notes what the empire did to the Armenians. Hitler even said in one of his speeches, “Who after all, remembers the Armenians”.
Here are some other movies regarding the subject:
- 40 Days of Musa Dagh (1980) - haven’t seen it yet, it is based on the 1933 book.
- The Cut (2014) - have not seen it yet.
- Ararat (2002) - directed by Armenian Canadian director Atom Egoyan. It’s a movie about a filmmaker making a movie about the Armenian Genocide. It feels like Egoyan’s other movies, because it always deals with families and their struggles.
