"Man, I loved that dinner... well except for the roach I found on my plate"
"How could you *not* have loved the early 1940s? That 'World War' didn't bother me at all"
The movie really was great. I had far more things on my "that was cool" list than my "gripes" list. But I took the meaning of this topic to be discussing the errors in the film.
If people were talking about how cool the movie was, I'd be right there with 'em. But aslong as other people are debating the mistakes and plotholes, I might aswell join them aswell.

right... and coming up with explanations that will never be proven right or wrong is??
might as well just try and find then last digit in Pi...
i think its safe to call this thread... "Back up Lucas' mistakes with excuses"
i think it makes just as much sense as people giving their views on the movie even if they are negative...
OH WAIT they're not the same at all...
lol
Nobody is "backing up Lucas' mistakes with excuses." We're merely debating other ways he could have done it, or why he did it the way he did. Also, we're tyring to figure out various things that could have caused other various things.
It's not excuses, because everyone knows what their saying will never be proven right or wrong. It's just a debate about what was going on. If we were talking this way about any movies besides the PT or SE versions, you wouldn't feel the same way. Think about how many times you've come out of a movie and talked with your friends/family about why a character did something he did, or why a director decided to do something the way he did... Well, that's all we're doing here.
