Trump has done only six of those things.

I was looking at that contract and I didn’t see anything saying it all would absolutely be done, finished, and over in 100 days. Maybe there is a misconception that it does. All I know for sure is it just isn’t possible … unless … everyone was on the same page and working toward positive goals for everyone. Since that is such a tall order I don’t put any faith in the 100 day standard for anyone in that office.

He’s the one who kept using the 100 days crap when he was campaigning. Don’t set a goal, and then complain it isn’t realistic once you’re in office.

It’s also too soon to be looking for buyer’s remorse among the Trumpy faithful. Going to be at least a year before most of them will admit such a thing in public.

Where were you in '77?

Trump invited Duterte to the White House. What a fucking idiot.

I thought we(as in the USA) weren’t getting along with Duterte?

The Philippines are our allies and they are in the range of North Korea so it seems reasonable that a President would try having some civil discourse with their leader to help bolster the safety of the region and any civilians within reach.

It’s not idiotic by any means but you can’t please everyone. Unless of course, one doesn’t care about people dying, as long as it isn’t themselves.

Are you implying that those who dislike Duterte don’t care about people dying? Because that’s just incorrect.

The whole problem with Duterte is that he openly advocates for genocide/mass murder. The guy favorably compared himself to Hitler!

There is no need to put words in my mouth, I am not implying anything of the sort, and I know who he is and what he’s said. Now, people who don’t like Trump might think it’s idiotic of him to even try some civil dialog to help save lives, and I would say that thought alone is idiotic.

Trump would have invited Hitler to the WH if Bannon told him that Hitler hated ISIS.

Enemy of my enemy is my friend? That’s never happened anytime in history.

Duderte is still five cans short of a six pack. (Trumpy at least has five.) Must we always get in bed with morally despicable people? He’s as bad as Ferdinand Marcos and his crazy shoe hoarding wife.

That idea usually doesn’t work out so well.

Look, I’m not saying nor have I said that killing drug addicts to clean up the Philippines is the way to deal with crime. The Suadi’s are our allies and they bankroll tons of crap that isn’t likeable but I don’t hear anyone bitching about them? The only reason any one in this thread is bitching about it is because it’s Trump.

My point was that it has happened throughout history whether it worked out well or not so why it should be so poignant now.
