I don't think Butterfly is a chick flick. It's a suspense flick about a guy who has memory lapses regarding his past, but has extensive journals detailing what happened during those periods in his life; but he refuses to read them. One day in college he starts to read the journals and they transport him back to these events. He decides that what he did was so horrible that he wants to change little bits to make his future life better and, as would be expected, it just gets worse. That and he just never stops reading the journal and, thus, travelling back in time.

I heard a review on the radio this morning.
