I know it sounds like bullshit, but if you call them and complain, maybe they can do something about it? My friend had horrible DSL from Verizon for years and the only way his family could get it to improve was to call them - the improvements were always short-lived, but they did something every time. Worth a shot if you can stand being on the phone and giving someone a polite but concerned riot act. Threatening to switch/mentioning competitors’ upcoming deals always helps.
I can’t threaten to switch because they’re, for some reason, all I can get where I live (which is kinda out in the woods), so their apparent monopoly over us prevents them from ever feeling bothered to help us.
