I would assume he’s securing rights and collecting any archival footage at this point…but that’s just a guess on my part. He’s being close-mouthed…but thats typical of Mike.

Incidentally there was a series of miscommunications; Mike is actually now helming a 6K open matte restoration of Muppets from Space (1999). Needless to say, I’m quite excited.
(Legacy is still very much alive, Finnius is BS’ing you)

I do really love Space 1999, and we can thank that series for the design of the Millennium Falcon, the film would have been so different without the hamburger.

I actually think a statement like this would be kind of a funny way of purging the internet of Legacy stuff to ensure the cat stays in the bag until a planned official release in the near future. Not saying I believe that’s what this is, but wouldn’t it be nice.
