Is there concrete info on why the Attack of The Clones BD got the Fellowship of The Ring treatment?

My theory has always been that both of those movies are from the early days of digital intermediate and for whatever reason translated horribly to their retimings on blu-ray a decade later.

I only ask because unlike Fellowship, AotC doesn’t look almost uniformly worse. Some scenes look worse, some scenes look about the same, and some look better.
Also, I was under the impression that Jackson did the Fellowship “”“regrade”"" himself/intentionally.
AOTC has hue shift (pink sabres) issues as well as a green tint. It’s arguably one of the worst Blu-ray transfers of the saga.

This is exactly why we need a 35mm preservation of AotC.

What’s strange is that the Schormann HDTV 1080p version on MySpleen has no tint and no hue shifts (less sure about the hue shifts).
It also has less/no DNR and it looks GREAT. It looks much more like the VHS in terms of color. AotC is a beaufiful looking movie (IMO) and the BD doesn’t do it full justice.

Haven’t been here in years and this is a pretty new account. Is Alderaan a known shitposter?
If you can’t find the irony in someone pleading for a 35mm preservation of a movie that was shot digitally, and was meant as an intentional shot across the bow at film in general, then I don’t know what to tell you.

But AotC was indeed made into film prints for distribution.

I’m aware of that. But maybe you don’t understand the meaning of the word ‘irony’.

But you weren’t lamenting irony, you just said “lol”. That doesn’t communicate anything other than that you find the comment funny.
Yes, irony is often humorous.
Yes, irony is often humorous.
But it was impossible to communicate irony that simply in this context.
You know what else is ironic?
One of the worst movies ever made hasn’t been treated with much care over the years.

Take a gander at his post history and you’ll find your answer.

“I don’t like it, thus nobody else should” is not a valid argument.

Are you inferring imaginary things in your head again?
The post history in this thread is very short, so it should be easy enough for you to reread and see that … once again … as has happened in many threads now … I never said the things you have attributed to me.

Likewise.
If you think someone with the OP’s username, who signed up on an original trilogy forum and has only made pro-prequel posts, deserves much better, then feel free to offer him your defense. Otherwise, you just look childish, going from one thread to the next, complaining about me.

Well, nobody complains 'till you show up, take a big, fat, steaming shit in the middle of the thread, then expect everyone to respect and applaud you for it. You came here specifically because the thread was about a prequel and wanted to bully people like the OP who likes the prequels. In every new thread you don’t suddenly become a blank-slate entity that has absolutely no previous history or reputation on this site, so screaming “LOOK AT MY POSTS IN THIS THREAD, I DINDU NUFFIN” does absolutely nothing.

Wrong. You need to read the thread again apparently. I made one post, laughing at another user’s ironic comment. Then you did what the same 4 or 5 of you always do, you followed someone you dislike into a thread, and tried to pick a fight with me for no other reason than you dislike me. It’s childish.
After you improve your reading comprehension, and stop attributing things to people they never said, you should work on growing up.

The only reason you found the OP “ironic” is because they held a view contrary to yours, and you picked on them. Now you’re attacking me for having poor “reading comprehension” and accusing me of following you just to pick a fight. I’ve been lurking this thread because I find the 35mm print of AotC interesting, but no, can’t have a neutral discussion of a Star Wars film that isn’t the OT without you barging in finding some way to crap on it. Yet I’m the one who’s childish.
