Director Hal Warren’s son is actually trying to copyright the Manos name now, which would complicate things for the surviving cast, (who never got paid to begin with) not to mention the sequel and other derivative works. Manos has been adapted into everything from a stage play to a puppet show in the past decade. It might even force the Blu Ray off the market.
