yeah, i think that phillips is the same one that gets kudos over in the myspleen forums as well. and when i replace my dvd player (or just decide to upgrade after i get my own place and then get enough money back in my pockets to get a nice home theater system going) its probably the one i would get. though id spend the money on the tv and sound system first because those need upgrading more.

but when i got my player i was basically looking for a good inexpensive player that could replace my laptop as my dvd player (dont mind hooking my laptop up for divx as i dont do that as often, but i wanted to be able to use my laptop while i watched movies) and i got the cyberhome because of its price point. it wasnt till afterwards that i found it could play pal discs...so for a purchase that was meant as a 'temp' dvd player to get me by im more than satisfied with its performance.
