This magazine is coming out July 25. Now, it could totally be coincidence but isn’t it a bit strange that a 40th Anniversary book is coming out 3 days before this supposed theatrical re-release? Instead of in May?
BTW…there is a screening of every Star Wars film (including Rogue One and TFA) during Celebration…except for the prequels 😃

seems they’re screening RO and ANH as one event, and ESP, ROTJ, and TFA as another.
If they aren’t releasing a new transfer, SW is going to look like SHIT alongside RO.

BTW…there are no less than 7 different SW books coming out on 7/25. Granted, that hardcover is the only specifically targeting the 40th anniversary but…
Getting back on topic with 4k restoration. (Maybe someone can post a separate thread to move all the Celebration speculation out).
The shots did not have SE elements in them, but in all likelihood, they were SE ones.
Working on the fan 4k77 will get pretty good results, and there will definitely be more
options than an official release.

I have to admit I was wrong. I thought the wishcasting was going to go from April to 2020. Quite obviously there will be another date in July, and another one a few months after that, and so on.

I think that IF anything is announced in April, it would be tied to July. You’re still right. April and then 2020.
