Imagine being this pretentious…

Imagine liking the prequels or the SEs.

Or the Disney movies, for that matter.

Making fun of the prequels is one thing, I do it all the time. But knocking people for their taste in films is definitely taking it too far.

The movies are bad. They like them. Therefore they like bad movies. If they are so insecure that they feel bad about liking the movies based on someone’s comment who they have never met before, then perhaps the foundation of their fondness for those bad movies is not that solid after all.

It’s not about anyone’s insecurities, it’s about not being a prick towards others. A little civility in this fandom could go a long way.

I like the Disney movies. I think TFA is good, and found RO entertaining. So, what’s it to you?

He’s the arbiter of what is and what is not True Star Wars™, don’tcha know?

I notice Mark Hamill and Billy Dee Williams are the only actors on the panel who had no involvement whatsoever with the PT.

As for Hayden’s presence killing any chance of an OOT announcement because of potential “awkwardness,” I doubt he cares one way or the other. It’s beside the point anyway since the SE will still be the official version.

Hey, maybe this means we’re getting the theatrical prequels as well!

That said, there is nothing wrong with mocking prequel lovers and belittling their bad taste. Kids these days don’t watch those movies. It’s teens and 20somethings that watched them when they were kids and lack the temperament to grow out of childish things that were never any good in the first place.

Imagine being this pretentious…

I don’t mind people who admit the prequels are complete trash but love them anyway. As someone with Superman 4 and Jaws the Revenge in my Blu-ray collection, I can’t throw stones. But I don’t go around defending them nor my love for them. I know they suck.

We let my kids watch the PT, even fanedited versions, and they just didn’t care. But they love the OT and TFA.

This is why fans of the OOT get such a bad wrap in other segments of the Star Wars fandom. I’d take the nonsense from people who worship George Lucas over trash like this or the crap Alderaan posts any day of the week.

Lest we forget Anakin had canonical EYEBROWS in the S2 finale of Rebels! ;D

Some of us could care less what people who love the prequels think.

Perhaps you’re surrounding yourself with the wrong people. By that I mean, read the name of the board.

Actually, most of the people on this website would at least agree with me that the pretentious stuff is obnoxious and toxic, so I think I am surrounding myself with the right people.

No there’s definitely kids watching the prequels these days, mostly due to Clone Wars, but also because they see Rebels and TFA and want to watch more Star Wars and don’t really care whether they are good or bad films.

Announcing a OOT set with Hayden on the panel isn’t really a big deal since he wasn’t even aware about being inserted into ROTJ until sometime later anyway. Doubt he cares about his little cameo very much.

Let’s get back on topic and start posting about the 4K restoration of Star Wars, or how certain you’ve been that the OOT release is going to be announced in 2 weeks.

Disney just HAS to announce it, right?

I would make a bet with you that whoever is wrong between us get a permanent IP ban. What do you say?

What’s the pleasure in continually posting things that only get a negative reaction of annoyance from everyone on the board? Is this seriously enjoyable to do? I think you need a hobby, away from the internet.

And I’ll make a bet with you that IF the OOT is announced at Celebration, you get a permanent IP ban. What do you say?

See how stupid that sounds?

Yes, that’s the bet I just proposed, but it’s no freebie for you. You have to put some skin in the game yourself.

You derail every thread with off-topic drivel.

They can and will do what they want.

Pathetic.

Are you actually under the impression that you have the authority on this site to demand IP bans?

EDIT: At first I thought that you were probably joking, but now it looks like your serious.

I wanted to place emphasis on solely you getting banned, not anyone else who’s wrong. If it is NOT announced, I will publicly say that you are absolutely right about the Disney, Prequel, and all future Star Wars films being absolute garbage, and that my taste is pure shit.

Either way, one of us wins.

Jokes aside, I’m really feeling confident here. Who ever thought they would publicly acknowledge the prequels again at Celebration? Same could be said for the OOT.

Who said demand? It was a proposed bet. The loser would just ask to get banned. Is English not your first language?

This. I don’t get it either.
