If anything, if Hayden is in the film and gives us a good performance, that would redeem him in the Star Wars universe.
Really, Hayden is not bad. He delieved the best he could considering the lack of direction of Lucas on Episode II. On Episode III with the coach director to help he gave a very strong performance (and he looks badass). The blame is on Lucas, not on him.
He does not look badass at all. He looks like a whiny jerk. And I do not think it is because of lack of Lucas’ direction, but because Lucas wrote/directed him to be like a whiny jerk.
