Does every protagonist in Star Wars from now on have to be a young brunette woman? How many Darth Vader knockoffs can the audience stomach? How can you innovate when you get studio yes men like Abrams and Edwards to direct your films? It’s like trying to build a skyscraper with a small box of toothpicks. It’s going to do more damage to the Star Wars brand than the four-part disappointment Lucasfilm spent over two decades making.
