We will just have to see.
We will just have to see.
I didn’t do anything.
😉
Just to make it clear, this has nothing to do with you.
I know, I was merely “trying” to be humorous about it.
😉
I will admit I haven’t seen much Benny Hill, but what I have seen was him chasing around half-naked women while “funny” music plays. No thanks.
We American blokes have sadly only seen the latter half of Benny’s long tv career. (I think a good chunk of his 60’s shows are lost?) But there are flashes of brilliance even in the later years. I saw a sketch he did about how widescreen movies are ruined when being shown cropped on tv, that was as good as any Python skit. And not a half naked woman being chased in sight!
There was also a parody of The Avengers that cracked me up with all the purposely badly concealed stunt doubles I was reminded of watching the real show recently.
And Benny did movies too.
I saw a bunch of his early stuff when I was young, that is how I got introduced to him.

Sometimes I’ll get really annoyed at Spuffy’s posts but then realise that everyone else probably feels the same way about what I post.
Not enough people read the EU.
Not really. And spuffy isn’t really annoying anymore, he seems to have developed a sense of forum etiquette quite nicely and he no longer bothers me.
I don’t recall ever being terribly bothered by LuckyGungan2001 posts.
The Person in Question
I don’t recall ever being terribly bothered by LuckyGungan2001 posts.
Likewise.
I transferred all my BDs and DVDs from their original cases to DVD wallets. Now they don’t take up even a single row on my shelf, leaving me space for literally hundreds of more discs I wouldn’t have room for otherwise.
I only hope the wallets don’t end up scuffing the discs every time I take them out/return them.
What did you do to the cases?
That’s a dangerous question to ask Duracell.
I piled them up in a corner of my room, just in case I might have need of them again in the future.
I focus on batman, and then on Spider-Man, and less than a day I’m focusing on batman again.

Why focus on one or the other when you can focus on both at the same time?
And on that note, I’d just like to say I preferred intercompany comic book crossovers better when the writers operated under the idea of the heroes co-existing on the same Earth instead of defaulting to multiversal schenanigans.
Okay so what’s your guys take on the conspiracy theory that many cats and dogs were hurt and killed filming Milo and Otis? Personally I don’t see any reason not to believe the official story that it’s a single cat and dog for the whole film. But I’m open to a reasonable discussion

I didn’t realize there was such a conspiracy. It’s really a creepy one though.
How would a film crew be killing/hurting and replacing animal actors to make a film without anyone knowing?
Well from what I understand all the footage was filmed by a foreign (Japanese I think?) Company that went bankrupt and all the footage was bought by the American company and through narration retconned and edited into a movie. I believe the official story is that it’s the sane dog and cat filmed from birth over three years, but some people are claiming that they killed as many as 20 kittens filming some sections. I don’t want to believe it but I do have to admit watching the movie now there are definitely some questionable moments…
Unless you can track down someone involved with the actual filming, or find some outtakes, it’s impossible to know for sure either way. It’s easy to believe a non American film crew would have little care for the fate of cute fuzzy animals.
There are scenes in the original 1963 The Incredible Journey where I wonder how the dogs (and cat) weren’t in real danger. There are stunts even in the original 1974 Benji movie that probably wouldn’t be allowed today.

This post is not specific. For all that is known, I was applauding a win of one of the sports teams I am a fan of. It can not be proven that this references a specific happening on the forum or any specific forum member. It therefore can not be proven that this is a violation of rule 6.
btw, is it a violation of rule 6 to applaud in order to show approval of and agreement with a certain action taken by the mods?
