Untrue. It is proof that someone was under surveillance. Because people in the Trump campaign were interacting with people from Russia (which no one is denying, at least on a superficial level) it is possible (if not quite likely) that the Russians were under surveillance and that is why the Trump campaign got caught in the net.
The problem is that Trump and Spicer shot their mouths off with no proof to back it up.
You cannot disprove it any more than I can prove it at this point. It will be damn difficult to prove publicly either way because any Top Secret documents pertaining to it must stay Top Secret. The fact that Flynn’s conversation was put in to a transcript and illegally released by someone shows that people in the Trump campaign were under surveillance. Now, if any Trump conversation was recorded, unless it is declassified it will not be known legally by the American people.
Now, if Trump has documentation to prove it, we won’t see it either. I agree that Trump should at least not have used the term “wiretapped”, even if it was used loosely. It did start a fire for sure.
