Tim Allen, a rather irrelevant actor, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, where he bemoaned the tribulations suffered by conservatives in Hollywood. “You gotta be real careful around here,” he told Kimmel. “You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody else believes. This is like ‘30s Germany.”
Nope! Not even close!
He was obviously not serious.
He’s a comedian, it was a joke, and the audience laughed with him because it was obviously a joke.
He was joking? No way!
Doesn’t change the stupidity of what he said. Not that I honestly care, but come on Tim.
It’s just strange to me to call a comment, that was intended to be a comedic exaggeration, stupid.
Exaggeration does not equal comedy. The sooner people learn this the better, it’s one of the big problems with dumb shits on the internet right now.
Comedy is perhaps the most subjective thing in the world, and there are plenty that disagree with you. What comedy is is not for you or I to decide.
