Shows shot on videotape, sure. Again, the industry knew HD was around the corner. Unless those involved thought a comprehensive doc about Star Wars and it’s impact on the world was an ephemeral project.

Absolutely. It was crap. Really didn’t tell us anything that we didn’t know.

And, in 2004, HD wasn’t just “around the corner.” It came out in 2002 but that doesn’t mean everything was being shot that way. I doubt the budget was that high on this but who knows? Regardless, HD was still relatively new at the time.

High Definition video was around in the 80’s. At least one tv movie and a feature film were shot in the earliest HD format.
