From an academic point of view, if making movies or telling stories is your ambition in life, there is value in studying movies that are “bad”. If you understand how and why they went wrong, you can avoid the mistakes and bad choices that were made by the filmmakers.

I’ve read that Manos: The Hands Of Fate is being used in college filmmaking courses as a textbook example of how not to make a movie. 😉
