Jobs report has basically the same numbers as it has had going back any number of months, and all those times it was fake. But now it’s real. Ok.

Wow, he can still surprise. Does he have any conception how high 42% is? You have to wonder if he has a grasp on basic maths.

Well, we all know he has a grasp on at least one thing. (Where’s the “ashamed of my own joke” emoticon when I need it)

I was thinking about immigration and the complaint that some people have voiced that allowing those who have come here illegally, but have families, to somehow gain citizenship, ‘encourages’ people to cross the border illegally.

Contrast that with stand your ground laws. See http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/03/10/519664502/judge-rejects-stand-your-ground-defense-in-florida-theater-shooting-case

There probably is a valid argument that both encourage behavior, however I think it is clear that one of them has a worse outcome than the other.

If the lax attitude towards enforcement supposedly encourages more illegal immigration, why has it been on the decline in recent years?

You can so me what numbers you like, but it is a fact that when people see others break the rules and get away with it, it can encourage them to do the same. Tell me, you ever see someone break a rule at work and then when nothing happens to him/her others decide to break the same rule and then soon the rule becomes meaningless? I have.

In an interview with the Bergen Record, Conway muses about the possibility that such surveillance could be conducted through phones, TVs and even microwaves. Here’s the exchange with columnist Mike Kelly:

KELLY: Let me ask you about one of the things that seems to be dogging, at least this past week, is the wiretaps — the allegation that Trump Tower was wiretapped. What can you say about that? Do you know whether Trump Tower was wiretapped?

CONWAY: What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other now, unfortunately.

KELLY: Do you believe that was …

CONWAY: There was an article that week that talked about how you can surveil people through their phones, through their — certainly through their television sets, any number of different ways. And microwaves that turn into cameras, et cetera. We know that is just a fact of modern life.

King, touting right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders, said via Twitter, “Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies.”

Today, responding to the controversy he created, King was eager to talk about how correct he thinks he is.
In an interview on CNN on Monday, King said he “meant exactly what I said.”

“You cannot rebuild your civilization with somebody else’s babies. You’ve got to keep your birth rate up and that you need to teach your children your values” and in doing so, then you can grow your population and you can strengthen your culture, you can strengthen your way of life,” King said.

King called Western Civilization a “superior culture” and said some cultures contribute more to American society than others.

“If you go down the road a few generations or maybe centuries with the intermarriage, I’d like to see an America that’s just so homogenous that we look a lot the same,” King added.

Note, King’s comments have drawn enthusiastic praise from former KKK grand wizard David Duke, while several Republicans, including the chairman of the Iowa Republican Party, have criticized the congressman’s latest nonsense.

  1. I find it difficult to believe we are at the point where we could surveil people through tv sets, and turn microwaves into cameras. If we I have reached that point, then where is my self mowing lawnmower and my self raking rake?

  2. Even if we could do all that, it doesn’t prove the Obama had Trump Tower wiretapped

Alternative facts, fake news, bullshit…whatever you want to call this.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that President Donald Trump was not talking literally or specifically when he accused President Barack Obama of “wiretapping” his campaign.

The controversy comes from Trump’s unsubstantiated claims about being under surveillance by the Obama administration, which the president posted in a series of tweets more than a week ago.

“If you look at the president’s tweet, he said wiretapping in quotes. There’s been substantial discussion in several reports,” Spicer said, referencing “surveillance that occurred.”

“The president was very clear in his tweet, it was wiretapping. That spans a host of surveillance options,” he said. “The House and the Senate Intelligence Committees will now look into that and provide a report back. I think there’s been numerous reports from a variety of outlets over the last couple months that seem to indicate that there has been different types of surveillance that occurred during the 2016 election.”

The first sentence.

Also go back and look at the rest.

King called Western Civilization a “superior culture” and said some cultures contribute more to American society than others.

“If you go down the road a few generations or maybe centuries with the intermarriage, I’d like to see an America that’s just so homogenous that we look a lot the same,” King added.
