“Quantum physics could never show you the world I was in. When I was ten, back when nine ounces had got you ten and nine times out of ten, ni**as don’t pay attention and when there’s tension in the air, nines come with extensions” - Kendrick Lamar

So is it wrong for me to put him on the level of Nas, Em and Jay-Z? I don’t think so.

I thought it was pretty generally accepted that Kendrick is on that level.

Well, I publicly came out as trans. I was expecting hate and rage. Instead it’s mostly verbal support if anything was said at all.

I’m not sure whether to be happy that my circle is welcoming, or disappointed that I don’t get to feed off the tears and salt of haters.

In my experience whenever his place in the rankings is brought up he is usually said to be the best of this era (since Wayne) but isn’t exactly a GOAT yet. Think of LBJ as many people can compare him to Kobe and Jordan but the widespread conversation of “is he” and a consensus that he’s one of the greatest hasn’t arisen yet. Hopefully that’ll change with his fourth album. Assuming it’s on par with Section .80, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City and To Pimp A Butterfly he would have enough material for that conversation to take place.

Wish I had the guts to even come out to myself as bi or gay or whatever the hell I am, instead of clinging to bitterness, denial, and self-pity.

When I accepted my bisexuality I trained myself to shut out the negative thoughts that accompanied me every time I would think about fucking a guy and eventually I just accepted who I was and I feel so uninhibited because of that. If you do this you won’t be able to escape the truth because when that moment of clarity hits that hard nugget truth won’t disappear. It’ll be something you can’t muster a counter argument against you’ll have to accept what you are.

But enough of my whining, adultswim.com is streaming all the old Samurai Jack episodes before the premiere of the revival tonight!

That’s tonight? Holy heck, I didn’t realize that. Is it airing on the same block as the reruns were?

I can totally relate to your clinging to bitter emotions. It’s not an easy road, and sometimes doubt still likes to creep into the back of my head. However, if you can get access to someone you can talk to, I highly recommend it. Simply being able to get it off your chest is a big first step.

I have a few friends that know, and I talk to them sometimes, though most of them are entirely unhelpful (not all of them).

EDIT: That sounds too critical of them. They are my friends, and I shouldn’t expect them to fix my problems.

That took me longer than it should have. LBJ means somebody else to old people. You can praise LeBron and Kobe all day long, but there is only one GOAT in that conversation.

Jordan is the greatest overall player but Kobe is a better shooter.

Cool card! Is this from a Star Wars card game, like Magic?
