I can’t help but think of Mankiewicz as one of the Young Turks, he is just not in the same class as Osborne.
Sure Mankiewicz is not in the same class as Osborne, but lumping him up with The Young Turks, now that’s brutal. The Young Turks are vile cretins, with their useless leader Cenk Uygur.

“Yes he is.” = Was my original response, when I thought you were referring to Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks. At that time, I had no idea that Ben Mankiewicz was actually connected to TYT. I just discovered this today.

It’s pretty evident if you’ve ever seen him on TCM.
I’ve seen Mankiewics on TCM numerous times, and he does a good job. He doesn’t have the same presence as Osborne did. I’m sure it’ll get better as time goes on.

I hate the Young Turks as much as the next guy, but I don’t think Mankiewics is a huge proponent of their bullshit. I guess he’s complicit, but he seems nice.

Alright, so I just found out that Ben Mankiewics does contribute to TYT, but only regarding Films & Sports. I still don’t lump Ben with Cenk and his main crew that deal with politics, social issue and other topical discussions. Yes, I agree, he does seem nice, just as long as he sticks to Films & Sports.
