I can barely contain myself now! Can GL gain a small measure of redemption? Or will the dark side (CGI, idiotic dialog, etc.) forever dominate his destiny?

I think the Dark Side won a long time ago as far as GL is concerned.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

Well tons of CGI is a given. Let's just hope the dialouge and story holds up.

well we will all find out next week. Just bought my tickets for a thursday afternoon showing in a DLP theatre. By next friday i will be able to close out the star wars part of my life. Well after that and i get ahold of the OOT on DVD(but thats another story and another adventure). Hopefully this one will be good, though there isnt much hope for a house that was built on a poor foundation.

Lets not foul up another thread, this argument has been long beaten to death.

I wonder how he expects to keep the budget for a live action star wars tv show at a minimum with the way he does CG. I don't think I'll be going to see ROTS until the weekend sometime. There's a comic con that same weekend and I want to go to that first. Besides, I gotta be at work to see what this TV engineer actually wants to do to this place that I work at. I need to be sure this guy actually knows his stuff. This is for a Church and let me just tell ya, these people in particular aren't very practical at times. And you need to be practical when it comes to this stuff!

JediKev…

Irrespective of how much the CG has been mentioned before, your list was hysterical! Well played.

But I’ll shut up about it now.

There's a premiere in Modesto tonight with Mark Hamill in attendence. Given that I live there, I must make an attempt to at least catch a glimpse. I may not have been able to afford the 150-250 dollar tickets, but the theatre's still open to the puplic. This just isn't may day. First I pretty much have to pull an allnighter, then I learn that a Sacramento club had a simpleton Star Trek trivia contest meaning I'd probably have won(my only solice being the probability of Enterprise questions), now I have the knowledge that Luke Skywalker himself is maybe 10 minutes away from where I sit typing this, and I lack general admission. Strange Friday the 13th indeed.

There was a charity benefit showing in Chicago a night or two ago. $200 a pop with proceeds going to Children's Memorial Hospital. If I had known, and if I had the money, I would have gone. Good cause. Good entertainment. Tons of people in costume. Very good costumes, too.

Here it benefits the construction of the Gallo Arts Centre. Still, I lacked the funds to even consider it, what with con season approaching.

I hate the damn prequels, and I hate the dvds. Because of this I seriously (not seriously) haven't been overly interested in ROTS. I even was thinking of skipping it altogether. But you know what? Fuck it. I just bought a ticket for a midnight show. I'm in, baby!

I picked up my Midnight showing tickets at the premeire. I also have a ticket for when my sis and mom see it at 4:20. That makes it the third(?) film I see in theatres twice in the same day.

As for the premiere, it was awesome. There wasn't much hecticness until Hamill showed up(lots of shoving at that point). The 501st costumes were amazing. We had a great Palpatine, Chewie, Vader, numourous Storm/Scout/Clone Troopers, Royal Guards, Imperial Officers, a Han Solo, Count Dooku, a Boba and Jango Fett, and even a slave Leia (my sis says she saw a movie perfect C-3PO, he must have entered after the event). Everyone went nuts when Mark showed up, I snapped my last picture before the roll ended, then got my insert poster signed(a clip of which was on the news story too) and a handshake as he walked down the carpet. Afterwards, my sister was able to get Jason Mewes'(Jay of Jay and Silent Bob) autograph, so she was happy.

All I can say was that I'll never believe it when a newspaper says that those not in attendence will not be able to see anything. I got to do everthing I had hoped without paying the 250 bucks.
